- NatureScot – the lead public body responsible for advising Scottish Ministers on all matters relating to the natural heritage.
- Scotland’s National Nature Reserves – contains an A to Z listing and a Map of NNRs in Scotland.
- Scottish Environment LINK – forum for Scotland’s voluntary environment community, with 40 member bodies representing a broad spectrum of environmental interests with the common goal of contributing to a more environmentally sustainable society.
- Scottish Wildlife Trust – championing the cause of wildlife and managing a network of around 120 wildlife reserves across Scotland.
- SEPA – Scottish Environment Protection Agency – helping protect and maintain Scotland’s vital environmental resources.
- The Water of Leith Conservation Trust – a charity dedicated to preserving and enhancing the Water of Leith, Edinburgh’s main river, and its surrounding environment. Established in 1988, the trust plays a vital role in maintaining this important green corridor for the benefit of both the community and local wildlife.
